Ok let me try to remember at 200mm on the 18-200 VR lens, f-11 and 3" on the shutter, tripod. Just about 5-10 minutes before set when the light from the moon has more of our atmosphere to travel through, and it gets more of that yellow look to it. Hope that helps, on a shot like the moon it is all about taking a lot of shoots at lest it is that way for me.
