Good series of dawn Jiri, worth waking up in the early morning to see the colors of a "new" sun. I especially like the water penetration into the mountain on the right side that leads the viewer deep to the far BG where the sunrise is coloring the sky , and the details of the whole are still not very visible. Nice panoramic format.

Pnina and Marian, thanks for your comments.

Yes, there is a lot of grain visible, even though it's from a 6x7cm frame and the length of the frame is full frame. The lab I gave the development too did a lousy job, there is terrible amount of grain. That was the last time I used this lab, since then I ordered some C-41 chemistry (Amaloco K-54) and today/tomorrow I'll process my first batch of color negatives myself... Hopefully it will be better - from the look of these negatives, it can't be much worse, though...

I tried a lot to remove the noise, it's a bit less obvious in a print, but still, it's way bellow the limits what should be possible from those almost 42square centimeters of information...

Superb! The composition is perfect, the thread of clouds/fog leads your eye into the picture, then you just want to stay there. The first rays of light on the mountain top just add the right touch. Well done!

THIS be the most well SEEN landscape that I've seen in a looooooooong time. Exquisite in nearly every respect : my only comment would be that I'd like to see the brighter area of the sky darkened a little so that it is a little less powerful on the viewer's eye. For that, and whatever grumbles you, or anyone else, might have about grain / noise, well,.....you COULD get it digitally scanned and then worked-on with Photoshop CS2 using a noise-reduction "plug-in" like Noise Ninja. Digital won't replace the beauty of the silver image. They're different "species." And, only YOU can make your prints sing. Ya Ta Hey !! John Loewenstein
