Denise, you are absolutely right. This old timber structure, beatifully decorated inside, with excellent craftsmanship - has a magic to it :)

Agree with above, IMHO what really makes this is the person and the stance they have, as if transfixed.

I think the lighting on your subject is transformative, especially placed in the surroundings as he is. The room is quite a special place, and his stance capturing the light as it does is somehow spiritual. Wonderful photo.
