jmoody 0 Posted January 25, 2007 nice shot! Great colors and shapes (peeling paint?) Quality of sharpness looks a little off, but I'm guessing that's from a scan? Very cool overall Link to comment
kjones 0 Posted January 25, 2007 I like the "flattened" aspect, making this look more abstract than representational. Colors go well together but are a bit harsh for my tastes; if this were my photo I might try something a bit warmer and less saturated. Overall, nice image! Link to comment
controlv 0 Posted January 25, 2007 I love this. I'm intrigued by the texture and the shapes that is captured. The colors are amazing, simple, elegant and beautiful. I love the crop also, it gives you enough information, but doesn't over do it. I would be happy to hang this in my room. great job! ~v~ Link to comment
sansmeat 0 Posted January 25, 2007 It's actually a birch tree Jeff. The image is digital but I processed it to be a bit soft and slightly over saturated. Thanks for looking... ~b~ Link to comment

aslavihervuori 0 Posted January 25, 2007 Great photo, simple and still interesting. Straight. Restricted colour palette I like here. Those vertical scratches not so much. But overall very lovely image. No ratings, a s l a Link to comment
bartimeus1 0 Posted January 26, 2007 Bryon, I join to the thougts of Asla. I love the curls and the textures in this one. The vertical scratches make me wonder whether this comes from the firewood pile. :-) Where ever it comes, it has an original feeling and very original final image. Link to comment
sansmeat 0 Posted January 26, 2007 Thank-you Asla and Alpo, I appreciate your comments. The image is of a birch tree of course, but it was a standing tree in the forest. I don't know where the scratches may have come from but perhaps it is from other tree branches blowing the wind. ~b~ Link to comment
