peterfauland 0 Posted January 25, 2007 A very striking composition ! I would have also liked it without the umbrella, but I see your point. 6/6 Peter Link to comment
aluo 2 Posted January 25, 2007 Great picture! Although I wouldn't have put the umbrella in the centre. Regards, Indre Link to comment
think27 0 Posted January 25, 2007 Wow Tim... This is fantastic. I love the red with the starkness of the snow and great geometric lines. What an eye you have.. Great stuff.. Link to comment
pdoyle 0 Posted January 25, 2007 Love it! Great splash of color against the whites and the subtle pastels of the upper half, and I like the falling snow too. Link to comment
jkwiatkowski 0 Posted January 25, 2007 I wish there was some irregularity in this almost perfect geometric composition... The way it is seems quite artificial to me, but this is just my personal opinion. Very original ,anyway... And so different from the "red umbrella" shot in my portfolio... Regards, jk Link to comment
marc_krutiak 0 Posted January 25, 2007 I've never understood all the images taken with a red umbrella, however, I think this is really great! Nice work. Link to comment
jfochoa 0 Posted January 27, 2007 Great comp! This is about geometry... the umbrella at the center is OK! Congrats! Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted January 27, 2007 I love your umbrella series. This one really stands out against the completely neutral background. I am noticing a smudge in the upper right, though - not sure what that is. Link to comment
CharlesBecker-Toronto 5 Posted February 27, 2008 I love your photographs of the Milwaukee Art Museum-both interior and exterior! I will be going to Chicago sometime this year just to photograph and I intend to take a side trip to Milwaukee to see this magnificent building ('building' seems so inadequate a word). regards, cb :-) Link to comment
tholte 16,401 Posted February 28, 2008 Charles, if you do come to Milwaukee, email me ahead of time and if I am in town I will give you a tour of the Calatrava. The train from Chicago to Milwaukee takes an hour and a half and is $21.00 one way. The train station is about a mile from the Calatrava. Link to comment
dave_nitsche 0 Posted August 25, 2008 This really is a breath taking image. I might want a little more room on the sides and the symmetrical nut job that I am really wants the umbrella to be vertically aligned but all that is overwhelmed by the great tonality and the visual impact from the umbrella color. The snow falling is just the thing that pushes this image over the edge. Really great stuff. Link to comment
