I like the green and red, and the veining in the leaf. The white patch upper left detracts perhaps. The strict centering of the leaf lacks any visual tension.

A beautiful image Laurent...light, colors, details on the leaf, droplets...I think it must be fantastic printed large on a frame....for me centering is OK because 1) reinforce its simpicity 2) the already present asymmetry of light and colors...thanks for sharing.

an early valentine! i think because of the light on the left, the centering of the leaf is not a problem. wonderful saturated colors! are those natural, or boosted in PS? just curious.

Lovely shot. The soft, soft blur and color variation of the bokeh contrasted with the hard sharpness of the leaf and droplets is a perfect contrast. I'd argue for a slight crop to the dark right side to relieve some of the centeredness and because the dark OOF area takes my eye out of the frame but I do not think it is imperative to the success of the image.

Dale, thanks for the kind comment!

Beepy, thank you for taking the time. This was merely a snapshot but I think I'll try what you suggest.

Dana, thank you so much. What you can't see is my garden and the street outside my house.

Balaciz, thanks for taking the time and commenting.

Alon, thank you very much for your kind comment and advice, which I'm going to follow!

Alex, thank you very much. Nice having your visit.

Laurent, thanks a lot. I wanted it as natural-looking as possible. You know that I never manipulate pictures. This was a quick shot, I saw the leaf on my window and clicked.

Linda, this is the original full frame shot. It was taken last October so the color is natural! Only very slight boost in PS though.

Patricia, thanks a lot. I lose sharpness and detail because of the frames I'm using, quality is much better with PS frames. I'll try the crop you suggest and repost. Thanks again.

^_^
