I have only been shooting now for 7 months and I want to know what

people think I should do to do better. Please if you rate a 3 I

really want to know why but be kind and constructive so I can learn.

Sean, I like the lighting, the shadows, the pose, everything. I've looked through your portfolio too and for someone who's only just starting out it shows the rest of us new guys just what can be achieved. Well done!

Wonderful model and a wonderful pose... I have a couple of minor suggestions which might or might not help. It might be nice to make more use of the horizontal space. The photo feels a bit tall and thin. Second, I think a larger light source might help, maybe a soft box, umbrella, or larger window. The light on her face seems just a little harsh. It is a wonderful start. Anyway, you really just need to listen to your own intuition. Oh, I like that fact that it is a little dark.

Well... I like at some of your other photos of this model and it looks like you are using a soft box... so I don't know. Anyway, great shot.

Firstly Sean, Generally people who give 3s or below don't read your request for critique. Learn to live with morons. There are a lot of them out there.

Try to be your own critic. There is a tendency of people to say good things about a bad photograph of a nude or semi nude beautiful girl.

Look at the photographs of others and try to work out why you like or dislike a photograph. At the end of the day, if you like a photograph it doesn't really matter what any one else thinks.

This photograph is OK. The pose is one that is done rather a lot and the model doesn't look entirely comfortable with what is going on. Much of the skill of photographing people is making them feel at ease. This is usually more difficult than taking the photograph itself.

I like this shot, but I think some accent lighting on her right side is needed. I also would like to see her eyes a little sharper, they appear a little soft. All things considered this is a nice shot.
