It occurred to me that as humans we crave gold. I actually think the Dior necklace is quite beautiful but doesn't come close to how beautiful the model's neck is.

Feedback appreciated.

I totally agree! Simple nice lighting simple wonderful abstract feeling! I love it! (see what whappens if you turn this in b/w) ;-) 6/6

I personally would rather look at the models neck than at the necklace. To correct you, most, not all, humans crave gold. I personally find the element to be contrite in tradition and repulsive in color.

On the thumbnail, I thought it said "Dave". She does have a beautiful neck and you captured both her neck and the gold chain well.

I have to admit, this is something I wouldn't have expected from you. Don't ask me why, cause I doubt I could explain.

But it's a very nice composition. I also think it is subtly more complex in idea than people might first think...or maybe that's just my take on it.

I will have open it up a bit more to see some curves David. As it is. I have to tilt the notebook to get a proper perspective.

Bill, Thanks a lot. I am guessing you have converted this to B&W already. I may do so later to see if I like it.

Allison, I am not sure why you are correcting me. I did not say all humans crave gold. We also seem to agree on the fact that the model's neck is infinitely more beautiful than the necklace she is wearing.

Alex, Thank you. Sometimes I get it right.

Jim, I do like to try my hand at different things and so you shouldn't be surprised by anything. I don't think this is overly complex but I have to say no one has picked up on the reason I like this myself so much. Thanks for stopping by.

Alec, Sometimes it is best to leave things to the imagination. Being honest, I don't understand your perspective problem. This is a natural angle.

Thanks everyone!

Simply refined and exquisite my friend. Wonderful composition, use of selective focusing and light (and shadows). Love it alot. Wonderful idea. Regards, Kelvin.
