chelseawalker 0 Posted January 21, 2007 Woa.. did you enhance that or somthing?? That's insane. Good job Link to comment
ricklundh 0 Posted January 21, 2007 This is a straight up photo. Nothing added, photoshop wise. Link to comment
doug_dolde 11 Posted January 21, 2007 I think this is abosolutely your best from this visit to John Day. Awesome shot. Link to comment
mike_stemberg 40 Posted January 21, 2007 Rick,Hehe, I'm scratching my head here, trying to figure out the topology of this land! This image grabbed my attention for sure! Hmmmmm.... This shot is really quite something. Link to comment

c brake 0 Posted January 22, 2007 Lol, wierd land formations was the first thought I had before I even saw the title. Very original. Is this in Oregon? Nice, original image. Link to comment
stp 6 Posted January 22, 2007 This is one of the most unusual "straight up" shots I've seen. The trees just look way out of scale, and I guess I've not seen the portion of the painted hills near Mitchell with trees this close. Intriguing. Link to comment
davidclapp 0 Posted January 22, 2007 Thought I would sneak in here an nail you with an anonymous 7/7! Take that! Link to comment
ricklundh 0 Posted January 22, 2007 Thanks for the comments...and David...thanks for the anon 7/7s! :) Link to comment
axel-cordes 0 Posted January 22, 2007 I stopped rating - but here I need to clean out the 3/3 for sure - yes one of the best 'straight forward' images I saw - luck and/or patience is needed and you did deserve it! Thank you for sharing. Regards Axel Link to comment
davidclapp 0 Posted January 22, 2007 I came back for a second look, this is really excellent Rick, the balance colours and the tones of soft yellowy browns are just devine. The trees look so minature, it really messes with your head! Link to comment
ricklundh 0 Posted January 22, 2007 It does mess with the head a bit doesn't it! I think Mark Hudon's shot should have won EP on NPN ESS though...I was really pulling for him. He's never won it. He doesn't really care...but it is a nice way to be recognized. Link to comment
J. Perez 0 Posted January 23, 2007 Great shot! The snow and trees add a lot to the image. Cheers, J Link to comment
kurt2006 0 Posted January 30, 2007 Finally I can leave you a 7/7. I also noticed that this image got a 3/3 and two 4/4. I am not sure you could have framed/shot this scene in any "better" way. I'm also sure the dusting of snow was gone within a short period of time so it is just great that you caught it. Cheers. Link to comment
linh dinh 1 Posted April 18, 2009 Excellent colors and perspective. Looks unreal, but it is possible! Very well done! Best regards, Linh dinh Link to comment
sakke 0 Posted February 15, 2013 A great shot. It is really hard to set one´s mind to understand the scene. Even the scale is `lost´. Link to comment
