This image is very well composed. While it is a little to soft when viewed larger, the maint thing it lacks are highlights. We would like to see some increased contrast on the lily pads.

I would have to agree with the photography class comment that this is a little flat, but if the intent was for it to be that way, then one needs to be a little more subtle and see that you have zeroed in on the middle zones entirely. does everything have to be snap crackle and pop??? i think it is bold to be low key here Lesa. like Richard said, he keeps looking so there must be something. its called a moment of zen. its peaceful and uncomplicated on the surface, but if you look for some time it gets more complex. anyway, i ramble, take care. Thanks to all for the comments and suggestions. The photography class... I am honored, and yet not deserving, to be receiving your attention. I am but a student of this artform myself. Richard...keep looking..:)) JK- I am always flattered by your visits, and always learn so much. Confession to you all, I am NOT 100% satisfied with this image, maybe needs a bit more "crackle and pop" as you stated JK. When I get a few minutes, I may try to do some tweaking and achieve the look i REALLY want, but for now, I will accept it for what it is. Regards to all....LJ

I guess I agree with Richard...also, whenever I try those looking-into-the-water shots they always come out muddy.

PS like your new self portrait.

There IS something in this image that got me here in the place, that's for sure. A little more 'snap' or 'crackle' ...or 'pop' (Do you know that cereal ad?)..would have made it even more special. best wishes ~ mike
