igor-d 0 Posted January 21, 2007 Yes, Milos! You are right of course. MiG 15, no doubt. Link to comment

k5083 1 Posted January 22, 2007 I think a MiG-17, actually. And a nice picture. The reflections add interest and the hangar provides a simple, non-distracting, yet thematically appropriate background. Shame about those things sitting on the ground to the left. Cloudy days are often best for airplane portraits and it works in this case. I might consider rotating it a couple of degrees clockwise; the vertical lines on the right side of the hangar are aligned with the frame but, because of wide-angle distortion, the ones toward the left are not. milsu 0 Posted January 22, 2007 It looks a little bit larger than MiG-15, and I think the wing has a different shape, but never saw MiG-17, so I couldn't tell for sure. Link to comment
k5083 1 Posted January 22, 2007 Recognition features are the longer fuselage, the unswept portion of the trailing edge inboard, the third (shorter) wing fence outboard of the other two, the non-tapered wing, the bulged fairing near the tailpipe, the ventral fin, and the afterburner. The more I look at this picture the more I think it is a little top heavy and would be improved if the bottom were cropped to show the reflection of the fuselage but not the tail. Link to comment
bartimeus1 0 Posted January 22, 2007 Kenneth, at first, thank you very much for your kind visit to see and rate my photos. I appreciate it very much. Then to this one. At first it felt like someone mentioned, a bit heavy from the upper half, but after taking time to see the reflections, I am very much favorable for this composition. Very good capture, indeed. Where did you find CCCP-era jets? I noticed that you had several captures from them and also American and perhaps British planes also. Local aeronautical museum perhaps? :-) Alpo Link to comment
