Nice camouflage dude!

I can tell by your title that the point of the image is how well camouflaged the deer is. However for most wildlife shots, unless the photo is of an animal superbly demonstrating camouflage techniques, I would prefer a shot with great lighting or posture or something that makes me say 'wow'. At the end of the day, at least for me, a shot with a title like this is just making excuses for the fact that you scared off the deer before you got close/didn't have a long enough telephoto!

I put this photo in my gallery because I liked it! I am an amatuer photographer and do it for the pure enjoyment. If all you have is an 80mm zoom, then that's all you can use and hopefully the picture comes out nice.

 

If you are not very wise and get too close to a wild animal JUST for a better picture, you would probably get attacked.

 

In CANADA you can be arrested for disturbing wildlife by getting to close.

Waterton, Canada... this was close enough for me, wild critters get

upset when you hone into their personal space.

Well, in my opinion this is a decent pic. I know what it is like to try for the perfect shot and not get to close. the only thing I would suggest is if you have photshop or a similar program, maybe try to saturate the colors to make them alittle brighter. I tried it and put it on here to see what you think. I hope you don't mind the contructive criticism. I am really amazed you were able to get as close as you did. Great effort and pic. Danielle
