climbingstitch 0 Posted January 17, 2007 I have several photos as part of this concept but here is one for now. Please tell me what you think and maybe what I can do to do better. I may end up getting a chance to re-shoot so any tips will help. All the pictures that you see of Lynette were taken in a studio and this was my first time so I am looking for any advice and tips that I can get. Enjoy! Link to comment
ken_james 0 Posted January 17, 2007 hey sean: It sounds like you are seriously trying to become a better photographer. It is always good to have ideas and concepts before shooting...my comment about this photo concerns the need for text to explain it. Really effective photos usually don't need text (sometimes a photographer has no choice when it comes to text if something is published). Without text, I would not have known what was in the spoon - and without seeing a bowl in front of her, maybe hair in curlers (most girls do not look like that at breakfast) and a bit of a tougher look on her face...well, this is what might be needed to get your point across. climbingstitch 0 Posted January 17, 2007 Hey Ken thanks for the comments. Maybey I will get the chance to re- shoot this one but I was having trouble with the angle and as I said I do have a lot of pictures of this so hopefully I will have somehting that fits better. I just really like her eyes in this one. No post perduction and they still look fantastic. Link to comment
william_lawless 0 Posted January 17, 2007 As a portrait the face is sharp and the makeup done well. I think a small modeling light would give you depth in the face. The hand is foreshorten so you need less of it or a longer lense. Maybe just the tips? That would leave you with a standard focal point Link to comment
