Karl Schuler 48 Posted January 17, 2007 Quite abstract in this position but I would suggest to turn the left side down to get a much more balanced and quieter mood. Karl Link to comment
vinoth 0 Posted January 17, 2007 good one.interesting without colour.i feel portrait placement(rotating this picture at 90 degrees counter clockwise)will make it much more interesting.beautiful picture. regards vinoth. Link to comment
j_m_lee_photography 0 Posted January 18, 2007 I've tried to rotate this image too, and I'm with Vinoth. Good perspective. Link to comment
fergi 0 Posted January 18, 2007 Lesa, I'm not sure if I would want to change anything or lighten the left side. It almost appears as if the lilypads are breaking up and moving downstream, not unlike a large grouping of logs in a river. Interesting to say the least, and the B/W changes the dynamic. Well done. fergi Link to comment
j.k._york 0 Posted January 18, 2007 i tilt my head as close to 90 as my neck will allow and then back to landscape to compare. i like what you've done here. the falling off the frame effect by rotation works well here. it creates a completely new dynamic between the light and diagonals. a refreshing take on what is almost always a fully saturated color shot. regards, J.K. lesa jones 0 Posted January 18, 2007 Thanks to Ivana, Karl, Vinoth, Spencer, Andrew, and JK for all your kind words and input. Andrew and JK you are the winners!! You two totally GOT what I was striving for in this image. I had it rotated 90 degrees to left, which left the top feeling sparse and the bottom heavy. Traditional shot, but I wanted something else. Thanks so much to everyone for hte support and input...regards...LJ Link to comment
