ameripol 0 Posted January 15, 2007 Ted Nugent being added to my concert portfolio. Comments always appreciated. This was one of my earlier 'big' concerts and I don't think I was prepared for the harsh light and pounding noise that was a Ted Nugent concert in l980. Link to comment
rob valine 0 Posted January 15, 2007 Great Shot! It had to be loud being that close to the stage. I hope you were wearing ear plugs. Shooting these scenes in available light can be very difficult. I recently shot "Roughhouse" at a biker event and it was very loud being that close to the stage. I was shooting with available lighting and accidentally put the wrong film in the camera. I thought I was shooting 400 speed Portra pushed 1 stop to ISO 800. When I took the film out of the camera later I discovered that I put Kodak E100G slide film in by mistake. I had my lab push the film 3 stops to ISO 800 and they actually turned out OK with a little help from photoshop. That's the first and only time that's ever happened to me. These are the photos. http://robvalineimages.com/-/robvalineimages/gallery.asp?cat=38954 Link to comment
ameripol 0 Posted January 16, 2007 It was VERY loud. Nugent was known for having the loudest shows of anyone. He entered on a swinging rope wearing a loincloth. I was NOT prepared for that. I was shooting Tri-X at 1600 and ended up two stops overexposed. At that time, the negs were almost impossible to print. Thanks to a Nikon Coolscan and photoshop, I'm finally able to resurect these negs. Link to comment
msr 0 Posted January 17, 2007 It is so good you managed to recover them. I also like the capture with the drums behind and between. Link to comment
