Oh mama! Come on post for ratings so I can smack a couple of 7s on this beauty. This is one remarkable photo. I will go so far as to say it is perhaps the best image I've seen in months. Really Very WEll Done Laurent!

An original composition Laurent...I like this interruption of direct image and then continuation through the glass...cold metallic tone...well done.

Ok, I may be a simple minded person,but this picture makes NO sense to me. To me it's flat out ugly. NO OFFENSE

 

 

Yer i would have to agree im not shoure how any one would say this is fantasic,, i personly dont find anything apealing at all about it i sertanly would not have it on my wall as a poster,,

Now I know where all those 3's are coming from. Just goes to show you, different strokes for different folks. For me, it's a great conception and shows the eye of the artist. I do have a slight problem with the execution of the bottom part of the picture which seems overly sharpened or something; I'd like to see the wheels and steel piping just a little cleaner. Of course it might just that I've been on the computer for three or four hours now and am slightly bleary-eyed.

Due to the restrictions on the mutual ratings issue I am temporarily parking a couple of 6?s until my 14 day quarantine is removed. Thanks for opening this up for rating. Sorry you had to be exposed to the generosity and aesthetic acuity of the free-wielding three givers.

Yeah Laurent, I appreciate the fact that you opened this up for rating, however the "3ers" are always omni present, though I take it that their IQ's most likely run at best, in low two digit numbers, so consequintly there is no threat of good competitive work coming from them.

 

On to this exquisite photo. I love the composition of this with the covering over the top, and the monotone nature, with splashes of red and yellow. I think that this would (and should) be enlarged to almost lifelike size, matted and framed and hanging in some Museum of Modern Art.

I wanted to mention this earlier but this work reminds me a little of Ralph Goings style. I don't know if you're familiar with him but he's a long time hero of mine and is an influencer of my work. He's a painter.

I find this really strong. Metallic textures at their very best. Singing geometry. Meticulous imbalance. Furious rythm. Takes a very free eye to see such a scene. Mes compliments.

Great capture, Laurent! Love the texture on the bottom third of the image. I can almost see that area as a horizontal crop on its own. But I do love the abstract aspect of the top two thirds. I can't quite make out what the material on top is which makes the image even more compelling. It forces me to look. Sorry I've been out of the loop for a bit. I look forward to getting back into the grind. Be well.

As soon as it loaded on my monitor I though woo-ow (not a person of profound thinking you see) this is a extremely good photo with a Kent B. feeling to it. Next thing I see is his comment to corroborate that at least he likes it a lot.Congratulations for it.
