Great photo. All the different tones in the ice really do it for me.

 

What if you were to put a nice fresh branch of leaves from somewhere (an indoor plant?) onto the same icy background, it might set up an interesting contrast - of fresh life/icy death - and make the viewer wonder all the more about it. Or would that be going to far?

 

But I still like it.
