ubai_kamal 0 Posted January 17, 2007 hello... i'm not professional, but if i can comment, i'ld say: it looks artificial; so much light on the horses that does not correlate to rest of the scene, the sky seems too much photoshoped, and the front branches appear too sharp. i think if you concentrated on the two trees only, it would be better.. thanks anyhow Link to comment
neely.stephanie 0 Posted January 17, 2007 I am afraid I have to agree with Ubai Kamal. It does look extremely artificial. It is interesting that Kamal and are both amateurs. I can understand that professionals feel a certain pressure to produce highly manipulated images that demonstrate their expertise; after all they have to attract clients and make a living. I guess I just don't understand what is gained in this particular instance by not using the undoctored image. Link to comment
johnmccarthy 0 Posted January 17, 2007 I like the setting and the mood and feeling that the picture evokes. You can almost feel the cold quiet still air. I would also agree with the two above me. The picture looks worked, at first I did not realize that the picture was from your InfraRed collection. I would love to see the picture before it was finished. As by adding color to it the picture is a little fuzzy and artificial looking in the sky for me. For me I like to just take the picture and the only thing that I like to change is by cropping it, or by the use of filters to get the effect that you are looking for. I think that the over use of the computer is a trend that will not go away. Link to comment
jim kerr 0 Posted January 17, 2007 John, Do you suppose Tony is pehaps a little more creative than most of us. I remember when he had not yet posted any color tinted works, his B&W infrareds were great, he just likes to express some of his pieces this way......Jim Link to comment

vmar 2 Posted January 17, 2007 It doesn't matter how you did it, but you have to know that the result is absolutely excellent Tony. Anyway the composition is perfect, you captured the photo and you process it as you like. Personally I'm very font of this processing. Greetings from Athens. Best regards Vassilis. Link to comment
