chris_wick 0 Posted January 14, 2007 Stefan - ignore these idiots, it's a very good picture. I'm not very keen on the catchlights - makes her look a bit cat like, but perhaps that was your intention?! Link to comment
richardkchapman 0 Posted January 14, 2007 I really like the pose, the lighting, the shallow depth of field and the grainy conversion. The only slight nit is the catchlights - they make the eyes look a little unnatural. Link to comment
stefan_beutler 0 Posted January 14, 2007 the catchlights are the result of using 5 industrial neontubes for lighting. not everyones taste, but i love them. Link to comment
stefan_beutler 0 Posted January 14, 2007 interesting, how different the meanings are. have a look at http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=4040749 quite the same photo, only color. Link to comment
yves_d. 0 Posted January 15, 2007 Very nice, the light (reflection) in her eyes is a bit weird, but still agreat picture, very strong. Link to comment
moniamura 0 Posted January 15, 2007 i like this portrait, but i think that is too much sharpening. ciau from Italy ;) Link to comment
yves_d. 0 Posted January 15, 2007 Was this shot in raw or jpeg ? If in jpeg, was there a lot of sharpening added to it (my understaning is that you have no option but to sharpen raw images) ? This is one of the reason I haven't played with raw yet, how does one decide how much to apply ? Do you always apply the same amount to all your pictures, or is it better on a per picture basis ? stefan_beutler 0 Posted January 18, 2007 :o) This pictures was done in a raw format. It is not oversharpened, but it looks like, because her skin has this structure and i wan't smooth it. Link to comment
ceul 0 Posted January 18, 2007 All I can say is that I just love the texture of the skin. ;) Link to comment
