jeff.grant 0 Posted January 14, 2007 Shots looking down into a valley are hard to do well, but this one is an exception. It's the line of the river and the shadow that make it for me, Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted January 14, 2007 The shadows are just right to emphasis each tree and feature on the vally floor. Good composition with the stack, the river and the cliffs. Link to comment

aepelbacher 0 Posted January 14, 2007 No, no, no - you have to tell us how you are doing!! How are you doing? (Okay. Yes, yes, yes - this is a lovely image. It really is ... but I've been wondering how you're doing.....) Link to comment
sondra kick 0 Posted January 14, 2007 Lou Ann, I am doing well, walking slower than usual, but that's to be expected. Going to the grocery store is still too much activity too soon. I need to start walking in the neighborhood and increase the distance each outing. Planning a trip to Florida in 2 weeks. Thanks for asking about my bionic knee. Sondra Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted January 15, 2007 Great perspective. I like that the road is in the shot for scale; shows how truly majestic these formations are. Link to comment
jim kerr 0 Posted January 15, 2007 Hi Sondra, very nice shot. Excellent example of composure..... I've never been at this place, so I wondering whether you were standing on solid ground, in a helicopter, or in a hot air baloon?...... Didn't happen to make some infrared exposures with your 828 by any chance, did you?.....I'm the curious sort....Jim Link to comment
sondra kick 0 Posted January 15, 2007 Jim, I was standing on solid ground. This image was taken on my first photo trip to the west, Easter 2004, with the old Minolta Dimage 7. Link to comment
