As a woman, I had to ponder this one.. and then ask my husband what he thought of it.... well you can imagine... it is his favorite. Just wondering if anybody else has made "suggestive" jokes about this image. Or maybe alluded to an episode of Everybody Loves Raymond where his mother did a sculpture.... or maybe you're not a t.v. watcher.. it is a lovely image Tony!!!!! Jan, Thanks for viewing the photo and more importantly for me, sending a comment. I can't imagine why I would ever want to delete comments. I remained at this location for at least 40 minutes shooting as the light slowly changed. My first attraction was the light and the reflection on the water. It was only after I got back the slide that I noticed something "extra" so I am claiming innocence. Perhaps it's like an abstract painting which arouses curiosity and interpretation.

Thanks again for viewing and glad that 'hubby' likes it also.

Jan, Maybe it is a woman thing, but I was struck by the antomical antecedants also. *smile* Hey, if it works for Georgia O'keeffe with flowers, why not for landscapes??

Incidently, Tony, it is a great photo also!

This one is very special! The morning light on the hills show their beautiful textures. The mirroring works perfect here.

Hello Tony:

I have been away for a while and not really been able to spend the usual time cruising PN. Now that I'm back, one of the first visits was your portfolios, and to no surprise, I found something really special, as I always do. The colors and abstractness of such a concrete element is delightful, complex and very artistic. Congratulations and best personal regards.

Well, only nature can give birth to images like this i guess Tony. Really smart idea to include the stripe with the grasses on the bottom of it. Ideally a perfect symmetry would have boosted an image like this, but since the grasses where already there your choice to use them as an active part of the image really works.

Keep on shooting.

Michail et al - many thanks. I had forgotten about this image and embarrassed to see so many 'recent' comments and me not responding. Many thanks.  This is a really old image taken with non digital equipment very early in the morning. I know it was slide film - probably Fuji velvia taken with a Nikon FM2 (manual SLR). I wish I knew the things I know today.

The south East Peninsular of St.Kitts is a favorite place for me to try shots both early morning and late afternoon. Christoph Harbor is developing this area and it probably looks quite different now or will look different in the near future. Progress!
