Thanks Steve for your comment on my portrait--I try to shoot like you do here, with simple light and equipment. Your picture has a sense of calm and quiet, which is what I try to aim for. You're right, I shoot only with available light. I have really no idea how to use flash. I've never really enjoyed pictures of children that are "adorable", i.e. where they have ice cream on their smiling faces; like you, I want to capture an instant that reveals something.

I have seen this before, I think the shadow details in this one is better than the previous one, this is once again your display of your skills, her eyes totally mesmerize you, the expression is just so soulfull, regards, Rajeev

For the last hour :-), I have been browsing through your pics and I keep coming back to this one. This pic tells a story about a lifetime: once a beauty, now a lovely elderly lady who still cares about her looks (the hair, the eyebrows, the small jewel on her cardigan), I think she has some regrets judging by her expression (a lost youth?), but accepts perfectly her present ...I really like it, thanks for sharing.
