sjmurray 33,532 Posted January 13, 2007 I reworked this one to give it a deeper tone. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 19, 2010 Very fine portrait. Direct, honest. Might be OK to reduce her neck wrinkles (IMO) but she did earn them in life, so she might take that as an insult. If it was my image I might have cropped it immediately left of the earing, and up just under the necklace stone (or the crescent). That'd minimize wrinkle issues and wouldn't invest so much of the image in her irrelevant dress.Very fine portrait, as-is. You took good advantage of the opportunity to photograph a beautiful woman. sjmurray 33,532 Posted October 21, 2010 Thanks for the comments John. I appreciate your ideas on cropping, however, this crop has a certain "balance" for me overall. Bobbie liked this one so much she used it in her autobiographical family album. The lighting is all natural, just sitting in her living room and illuminated by the various windows in the room.
