Beautiful shot Tim. Isn't it getting cold down there like it is up here (St. Paul), about zero last night. What are you doing wandering around in the cold at night, heh heh.

Steve, it was warm and misting last night but cold this morning when I got up. I dropped my D70 twice last week, you think maybe I am doing it subconciously so I have to get a new camera?

Um, well, yeah. I think "dropping" your camera was definitely a Freudian "slip," LOL.

 

I ordered a 2 gig SD memory card from B&H in prep for the D80, which I will buy as soon as I get the memory card. Can't get the memory as cheaply here as from B&H. The only other thing I'll need is an extra battery. Got all the lenses I need, thank god. I sold my 4x5 and accessories to justify getting a D80. I'm going to keep the D70. Its just too good a camera to sell.

 

How'd you get the red in this photo? Its really cool (or hot, actually).

An amazing photograph of great power and simplicity--I love the fluid-like smoke.

Steve, you will be getting yours before I get mine, my tax bill this year killed me. The Minneapolis and St. Paul crowd thinks their taxes are high, Milwaukee is twice as bad. The color is from the flourescent lights to the left. I set my D70 on auto white balance and this was the result. I'll go back there when the conditions are similar and bring my tripod and shoot some in RAW. Yeung-Seu, I like your series and that NYC shot was a classic!
