Eyes of Innocence

I am new to PN and indeed to photography - I am completely hooked

and aspire to do it full time one day. Are things moving in the

right direction?!! I appreciate I am only a very small fish in a

very big pond but would welcome any feedback.

My friend, if this is the beginning, the end will be at MOMA. Congrats and...keep shooting!!!!

Kilian - this is an excellent first upload; very nicely done in high key lighting, tight in close to the child's face, not a dead on centered composition as so many tend to be. Initial reaction: very well done. Second reaction: a bit eerie perhaps due to the prominent eyes (don't take that as a criticism, just a possible observation) but no doubt the parents of this child would find this to be a keeper.

Exceptional Shot, with the cropping really enhances the eyes and expression. Don't tell anyone you are 'New' to anything other than PN, because this shot competes with the 'Pros' on their level in just about every aspect except ego. Great use of B&W. 7/7

This is a beautiful work of art. If you are new to photography you will be accepted and admired in the future. I love the high key lighting and the of course the eyes. You could try letting the eye color come through while keeping the high-key monochrome image intact. Or the lips a little red might also work. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing this with us.
