Owen, Thanks for the comment. What worries me about your comment is that you may be right. I often see things that I think would make great photographs but am often too lazy to take them. Maybe that should be my New Year Resolution. Take more photographs!

I love that you did not crop that slight flaw of the rope at the corner. It shows that everyone has something that want to hide but can't. I would hang this in my house as a conversation piece. Love the blue!! ~ love your eye! Well done ~ micki

Thanks again for the kind words! I have to be honest and say I am not sure what flaw in the rope you are talking about. What I think you may be seeing is a chilli. I don't know why I started putting a chilli in the bottom right corner of my photos but it is something I do all the time now.

As for a conversation piece. I don't really know what to say!

David,

I, too, like this shot. I enlightened Micki as to the Chili placement vice flaw and she is reconsidering the photo now. She likes it better I think now. Either way, I truly am taken with the rusty lines against the azure sky. Perfect cropping to fit the eye. Keep at it.

Ok... I used a abbreviation for laughing at myself. I still love it and now that I know it is a chili I think I love it even more!! One might even think that you actually put the chili ON the rope then took the pictture of it. Regardless even when I looked at the picture up close it still would not have mattered chili or rope it makes for a great look. i still absolutely love this picture and think this is a great look. Do you do more stuff like this? I personally would love to see them. This is really great work!! And truly I do like your Chili mark very orgigional and I think your chili has given me the giggles! ~ micki

Thank you both! I am guesing you are related which makes your comments more interesting.

I do take a lot of different styles of photographs (at least I think I do.) I really believe simple things make great photographs. I don't do as much of this as I should but with encouragement like yours I may be tempted to do more.

For what it is worth, I like this one myself.

I am glad you got a laugh out of my chilli and I am pleased that Micki likes it more without the chilli.

Thanks again!

He is the photographer and I am the computer graphic person and artist and I got tired of waiting for him to take pictures of what I wanted so I picked up the camera and started having fun.
