Back in 1970 Me kissing my mom. I worked with the photo because the

color had faded some after scanning it. I decided to just pull the

color out as it looked better this way. Please let me know what you

Great idea. I wish people would do more of this kind of thing. It's both instructive as well as amusing to look back at old photos. You're right, sepia does bring out the feel of that time nicely. Do you think you could have cropped out the dark edge on the left? (Or was that part of your effort to retain the authenticity of the original photo?) Anyway, thanks for sharing.

Thank you.. Yes when I took the left part out it took away from my mom's hair and it just didn't give the picture the the darkness that an older photo has and washed out her arm and shirt. I was going to frame in and it made it look to sharp so I left it in. Thanks for the comment. ~ Micki

This picture was taken with a nikromat, not sure of the lens at that time. It was a slide and I still have the original slide. We scanned one a long time ago, but it really did not scan well. Still love this picture tho, one of my favorites!

So... when are you going to start posting some? I can't even remember how we got this one scanned? You should send some of those old slides off and have them made into digitals. Probably someone somewhere here knows where and such. Sure was a good camera!! :)
