The sky is superb, well staged in central perspective view. Interesting break of symmetry, well balanced with the object on the left side. Have you tried different FOV`s (wider, tighter) ?

I've been hundreds of times walking on this beach :) a very beautiful image Henri, the colors and the geometrics are fantastic... Next time I go I'll look it with other eyes :)

The sky is certainly a winner. What strikes me about this is the mundane subject presented in the right light to produce a beautiful image. It's a scene that most people would walk past.

Jeff, you know, I was more or less alone on this beach at about 7 a.m. and I was looking for something to put in the foreground in a photo of the sea at dawn. There was the stacks of chairs that you can see (I took one shot or two), and there was this wooden floor. It seemed interesting if I could place it in a geometric way. So I placed my camera on the tripod, adjusted the frame to put the first cube in the center. I saw it was good and I said : let the photo be!

I love the simplicity, color and the shadow detail in this image. Great composition also. Also for some strange reason I commented on your image of the church and the split rail fence but don't see it posted. Anyway at that time I noted that I was unable to upload larger images because of one my ignorance and two the speed of my dial up server. I have noted that you weren't the only one that has made the request for a larger version. Maybe I'll be able to do this at a later date. thanks, Dick

Thank you Richard. About my photo of the church and the fence, I would be happy to read your comment if you want try to repost it. About the size of your photos, perhaps is it because the speed of your server. When the size is larger, it is too long to upload and it fails. I am not expert at all on those computer problems. Anyway, at what size they are, your photos are really beautiful.

Henri, a great picture! Tones of the foreground, together with the tones of dawn, make this picture a very beautyful abstract.

Did you think about cropping on the left, where is more dark and details are hard to be recognized?

Thank you Paolo. To crop the left ? Yes and no. My image is composed in order to put the cube formed by the first element of the construction in the center of the image. Perhaps it has no importance but...
