laurent_jaussi 0 Posted January 8, 2007 What an elegant portrait Lesa...I like the colors and delicate choice of DoF... Link to comment
lesa jones 0 Posted January 9, 2007 Thanks Laurent. I thought the simplicity and the contours of the flower would make an interesting image. I don't know if I should crop off a bit from the top, in order to tighten the shot up a bit. If you have a suggestion...give it to me!! Thanks again....LJ Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted January 9, 2007 Sometimes simplicity is beauty. I like the simple colours & graceful composition. Yes, I think a slight crop at the top will make it better. Link to comment
laurent_jaussi 0 Posted January 9, 2007 I like it the way it is...maybe a slight crop at the top but not a lot in my opinion...personaly I like that there is space to breath (a matter of taste)...Laurent. Link to comment

dejan1 0 Posted January 9, 2007 I like it the way it is. Croping would make it too tight. Link to comment
lesa jones 0 Posted January 9, 2007 Thanks to Cherlyn, Laurent, Gloria, William, and Dejan for all your comments and input. I am still a bit torn about cropping it, so for the time being I will leave it as is. Thanks so much again to each of you....LJ Link to comment
dave holmes 0 Posted January 10, 2007 I like it this way, I also like the fact that the leaf is slightly out of focus. Dave Link to comment

caz 1 Posted January 11, 2007 Nicely composed Lesa. Did you use a black backdrop to achieve the background? Some water droplets might have added to the freshness of the new bud maybe? Warm regards, Carole Link to comment
lesa jones 0 Posted January 11, 2007 Thanks to JK, Kazimiera, and Carole for the input and compliments. Yes Carole I used a black backdrop, actually it is about $5 worth of black material I picked up at Wal-Mart. Who says a "studio" has to be expensive and elaborate? Thanks again....LJ Link to comment
