It's someone else's photo. You just played with the colours. That's not photography in my book.

Thank you for your most constructive personal opinion!

To correct you, this is in actual fact my own photograph of a mural in Havana, Cuba. The original image is displayed within my Cuba folder. Please take the time to look:

I have attempted to create a more interesting image by use of photoshop.

I appreciate that this image may not be to your taste. However, constructive remarks rather than the suggestion that it is not my image may have been alittle more helpful.

Claire, sorry if I caused offence. All I meant was that there is a great dilution in the process here: Alberto Korda's iconic photograph of Che, taken in 1960, has been much replicated around the world.

In the photograph in your portfolio, you have captured some artist's colourful mural interpretation of the 60's graphic image based on Korda's original photo. Already, this is a photo of a painting of a graphic based on the original photo.

Then you skilfully manipulated the image in Photoshop - nice work. But by now we have a manipulation of a photo of a painted mural which is an interpretation of a graphic artwork, in turn based on an original photo by Korda.

So, it's all getting a bit far removed from Korda's original iconic image.

And all I'd question is the degree of artistic merit that can be honestly attributatble to the final stage of a plaguiarism.

No worries Jeremy.

I do take on your point as I have personally seen this image in many countries including all of South and central America and Sardinia (diverse!).

I merely wished to recreate a slightly more interesting image of the mural I had found in Cuba. As I can't photograph Ernesto himself - I've done the next best thing!
