Water is the rich blood which fuels energy and life into the

Columbia Gorge. This is Fairy Falls, one of the more picturesque

waterfalls in the Columbia Gorge.

Comments always appreciated.

A stunning fall and good use of shutter speed pair up to make this running water shot stand tall. Two observations - the branch with broad leaves in the upper right seems to intrude on the image, I find my eye drawn to it when I'd rather not be distracted from the falls; in addition I wonder if the green is a bit too vivid in the area of greater light to the left of the falls. Regardless it does look lush. Nice image.

Part of the problem with PN...

I'm sure we'll never know why those folks have to do that. I'm done stressing about it, but I'll admit that if I get 3/3s right off, I'll resubmit the image later.

Hmmm two 3/3s, something fishy going on here. This is a fabulous rainforest shot. I like the feeling of peering at the falls from beneath a canopy of ferns. Glorious colour.

Just so beautiful!! Rick, the low ratings are a big problem here, it is just discouraging. I love this picture, great colors and sharpness! You work is getting better and better 7/7 , regards, Rajeev.

Hey, look at that. The 2 3/3s disappeared! Wonder how that happened? I heard PN was actively monitoring this sort of abuse. Maybe they removed them?

You did a really find job framing the elements in this shot, the light is just great, well balanced, and you resisted the temptation to oversaturate heheh. I couldn't understand those anonymous ratings here. I get them all the time, but that's another matter! What month was this, Rick? I'd really like to check out the Gorge when it's lush and overcast. Anyway, great work, man.

Kurt,

Thanks for the comments. This was taken in either late april or early may. If I'm available, I'd be more than happy to show you a few spots...and maybe explore some new ones up there.
