Jana, I was trying to keep it from being too central and thought the crop lent to the movement/direction of the swan. Mark and Tore, thank you for your kind comments as well. These swans have become fixtures by my house. I see them every day. Such beautiful and interesting creatures.

You are very lucky to have swans around your home.Also they are sometimes agressive, I like to photograph them.

I've tried to take good pictures of swans, but when it comes to a moment like this one, I'd run! :-D

Hey Gang,

My daughter and I were taking pictures of these birds and this one and the one to the far right came out of the water. There are 3 of them there though you cant see the third.they all came up on shore and these 2 you can see came at us and started "barking". That was when we decided to back up. I didn't realize swans do that. I think they were getting a bit territorial, so we left them alone for the day. I see them daily so I'll go back and grab some more photos! Thanks for all the comments. I do appreciate them.
