Well... I just saw this passing on the photo critique, and I had no doubt as for who was the photographer... Of course, as usual, I admire your technique and your style... but this time, there is a little but... Just an opinion of course... I feel the model's pose is very awkward... It doesn't talk to me... Whereas your strenght as I understand it is obviously the powerful moods you manage to create, I feel the model's pose is very artificial and prohibit any access to my feelings... It would be interesting to have a few comments from other people about this, since it could very much be something very personal I express here... Besides this shot, you know how much I love your others works, and I hope you know that I mean well in this comment...

Nice... saw this and I had to check out your other shots in your folder. I ended up liking some of your other shots much better.

 

I am not so crazy about the eyes leading the viewer to look out of the frame. I'd prefer that they look in to the frame so the eye can then check out all the nice textures on the staircase.

 

Still, a damn good shot.

All your work has this really nice range of tones and textures. Inspiring!

Very Nice. I can only admire the stunning result. By the way I discovered this was taken in Esbjerg. Ny wife is from Esbjerg and I will never see Esbjerg the same way after having seen your picture, I will look at the rest of your work later on..

I really like your work and i really like this shot. theres only a few small things i think might have helped. i think having her looking out of frame while she so close to that side draws your eye off the picture. also having the stair line run right through her head is somewhat distracting. please dont think im just some jackass who has to say something negative. i really like your work alot. your portfolio is at the top of my list. this is the kind of photography i love to do. please take my comments as mere suggestions and it is quite possible that doing any of the changes i said may look like @#%$. any way great photo with great colors and it gives off a real nice mood. great job!

Rene, the first thing that struck me in the image was the position of the eyes. I cannot see the pupils, and therefore the eyes are two white holes. Maybe bring her glance a little more forward. If the camera were closer on her it would not be as much of a problem. But that closeness is clearly not what you want here. So maybe bring her face more forward. Love your work!
