Nice creamy tones; if you have a closer shot of one of the groupings, it would be interesting to see that by comparison, and also to see more detail of these. Am wishing just a little more shadow detail were present, but not at the expense of the fungi of course.

I like the dark tones of the background here with the glistening dampness.

Michael, I have only this shot. As it was taken more than a year ago all alternatives have been disposed of. I hear your comment on the dark areas but on my monitor I can see detail in the bottom left, which I think is the darkest.

 

Colin, I'm sure you're finding plenty of these in foggy Blighty too. We are experiencing more rain here this year than I ever saw in my many years in England.

I like the contrast of the light fungi against the dark background. The lighting is just right to bring out the lovely tone of the subjects. Quite pleasing to me. I agree some close up studies would be nice, but maybe next time! Regards, Jerry

Brad, the fungi were rather fragile and had already provided a bit of a meal for some little creature but fortunately there was enough left to show off their delicate structure. Thanks always for your support.

I second Michael. A little shadow detail on the left side would be nice. But nice image notheless. I like especially the pyramidal composition created by the low angle of the camera. Very effective.
