Very lively postrait and respectable BW work with toning. People do not smile too much in the world, so I like smile, too.

Some kind of distortion, or rather like blurring filter (PS?) is almost too visible, and it could be framed tighter, but combination of these two (blur & loose) is just great!

Excellent portrait, indeed. No ratings (since I do that no more), a s l a

Thanks a lot for all comments!:-)

That is not a self portrait - and that effect is just the combination of a narrow aperture and dynamic movement of the camera :-)

I am a beginner and don't know portraiture at all but to me, this looks technically perfect! Amazing lighting and tone! And a killer smile to boot!

One of the most interesting portraits posted within the last few days. Congrats :)

Did you try with different angles? Might be interesting to see it with a little tilt to the left or right. Just an idea...

Beautiful model, by the way... So is the photographer, as I can see :))

"To have a portrait right, one need to remember it's not only the person as outside but also the feelings from inside should come out".....thats exactly what we find here, a true portrait, bravo.

I like this picture, when i first saw it on the home page, i noticed how the background swirled, i have a yashica c tlr that does that effect when the lens is close to wide open, i really like the lighting here and the model's smile, very beautiful. keep up the good work

A perfect photographic example of the old saying, "The eyes are the mirror of the soul."

Joy might be her name, but it's also the best description of the image.

You really captured the "moment."

Thanks for sharing.
