martinstott 0 Posted February 10, 2007 It is astonashing how much effort is needed to get such a large bird out of the water and into the air. Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted February 10, 2007 needs a little room on the left to "fly in to", otherwise an awsome shot. Link to comment
snorkler 0 Posted February 10, 2007 A nice shot that I'm sure was hard to capture. I think it could be improved with providing some additional space on the left hand side of the image, giving some room for the bird to fly. Tight cropping is good for portraits, but my feeling is there should be some room for movement in the direction of movement. The image is a little soft, but sharpness in an action shot is hard. You particularly want the eye to be sharp to engage the viewer, and in this case it's not very sharp. Also the mid-section is the brightest area, and if it could be changed you would want this to be the head. Link to comment
nichroe 0 Posted February 10, 2007 I have been looking all day. Fascinating bird. Nice shot. Link to comment
jim craig 0 Posted February 10, 2007 Nice job on what I know had to be a difficult action shot. I like the way you showed motion with the water falling off the bird behind him while keeping the moving wings reasonably sharp. Nice detail in the feathers too, sometimes difficult on these pure white birds. I have to agree with the others though that some space on the left would have been nice. regards, Jim Link to comment
