a gradient filter, or b+w film with a yellow-orange filter, might have charge this image up more. Or a ND filter and a much longer exposure to blur the water. Or? Certainly feels like it needed something more at exposure time.

Using the high-tech "envelope on screen" cropping tool, I find I like this image slightly better with 100% of the water cropped out, or perhaps with the narrowest of slices of water shown on the right hand side. True, taking all the water out makes it slightly harder to understand the context of the image. That might not matter though.
