didier 0 Posted January 4, 2007 I took this shot when climbing the Wiessmies : the Monte Rosa is the second highest mountain in the Alps and has 14 peaks above 4000m. The lake you see below is ca. 3000m (9000 feet) lower than the highest peak on the photo (Dufourspitze) Comments welcome, cheers Didier Link to comment
arash khoshghadam 0 Posted January 4, 2007 Hi Didier your shot is very striking. The composition is good with the lake placed near the golden mean, but there is one problem. You have captured too nuch of the blank blue sky that not only doesn't contribute to your shot but also is too much of negative space ( the blank area in photo or painting ) which takes the attention away from the subject of interest. Look at my version. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted January 4, 2007 Over darkened and over saturated sky, which seems to be normal for the height! PDE Link to comment
Karim Ghantous 1,776 Posted December 22, 2009 Certainly a good shot to describe the situation, but the light is too neutral and there isn't much drama. Link to comment
