This picture still brings tears to my eyes. We had felt this baby

kick for moths, and we all wondered what he would look like. We

lived through this question for 9 months, and each day dragged on

like an eternity. This picture, which shows my wife looking at the

boy after 10 hours of labor, to me, is not just personally

satifying, but artistically fulfilling as well. The joy in her eyes,

which has been seared into my memory, is both indelible and more

precious than anything I can think of.

Not only are you a great photographer, but a great writer as well. I feel as if I am standing next to you and feeling your joy and elation. Congrats again..LJ

There is nothing more precious or sacred than watching a baby enter this world. I am glad you were there with your wife and helped her through. I saw my grandchildren being born and never truly understood life until that moment. Congratulations-and welcome to the world of deprived sleep.
