ShunCheung 8,937 Posted January 2, 2007 On new year's day 2007, I shot this image in Santa Cruz, California near the lighthouse, an area called the Steamer's Lane, which is a popular area for surfers. The orange bottom of the surf board reflects back to the wave so that it looks orange/red. Link to comment
martinangus 0 Posted October 13, 2010 I love this pic! From the reflection as noted to the milky foam...well done! Link to comment
pcnilssen 3 Posted December 20, 2011 An image filled with energy, even though the surfer is placed near the middle of the image, which many say makes the mood more tranquile. Beautiful colortones, that make me think this water is really, really cold. An image that makes me happy I have photography as a hobby and not surfing! ;) Thanks for sharing. Link to comment
vince-p 1 Posted February 8, 2012 My girlfriend saw this on my screen and said, Wait, that's a picture? She stared in amazement. Then our 3-year-old came over and gaped at it for about fifteen seconds, which is about two minutes in toddler time, and said, That's cool! So you did pretty good. I couldn't help --defending my manhood -- point out the lens costs like 7 grand. It's still just an amazing photograph. Link to comment
