josylvestre 0 Posted January 2, 2007 No, this is not an albino. This is an old white form female. Females of many Colias species have a white form. Some years, for Colias philodice, white female can be as common an normal female. Its also possible to observe a white form for the male but its extremely rare ! Link to comment
mary fran 0 Posted January 3, 2007 Bill, consider reposting without the text, I'm curious if some folks generally dislike text so much that they immediately hit the 3/3. I don't consider it a part of the photo so I overlook it and look at the shot, but maybe some folks don't. It's a nice shot, hard to get them with a clean background and the clover complements the color in the wings. Link to comment
