Bill--This shot is spectacular in my opinion. I like the golden/yellow tone of the grass and the stripes on that mountain are amazing. You are right...this light was VERY unique and you took full advantage of it! That line of birds flying through does a superb job of filling the dead space--you could have not timed this shot any better! Did you consider cropping this more into a panoramic shot? I think that would highlight the mountain and birds more and also get rid of the lower right, which is the least attractive part of the picture (but NOT terrible). The trade-off would be you would lose that golden grass in the lower right but I think it is worth considering. Just some food for thought. Regardless, this is a strong shot--unique lighting, great composition, and wonderful timing with the birds. I'd love to have this one in my portfolio!

Great shot! This should be hanging on a wall. I didn't know Indiana had landscape like this. Global warming has hit home. 7/7 anon
