dabar 0 Posted January 4, 2007 Nicely done Peter. My only suggestion would be to have reduced the contrast of the scene a bit with fill-flash or a reflector. You might try a "fill flash" filter in post if you can. Link to comment
velter 0 Posted January 5, 2007 Thanks very much Dave! At last somebody who can add constructive criticism. You are so right! I was on holiday and had no reflector with me and the flash on my compact camera is rather weak. But yes, I could have brought along a stronger flash. Are you not worried about shadows and unnatural colors with flash light? Taking the shot earlier during the day was not an option as my Sony does not shoot well with ISO?s higher than 200. (Grain is a big problem with Sony, unfortunately). What is your experience with reflectors in busy markets? Does it not take away the spontaneity of the scene? Link to comment
raddatzphoto 0 Posted February 24, 2007 I would not advise using a flash in this instance. Nearest objects (table edges, poles, fruit etc.) would be your problem. More so, flash (and reflectors) for street photography only serve to bring attention to youself, and a circus. Although you saw so much here, that doesn't mean it HAS to all work. Look at this again Peter.....square cropped off the left side. There's your shot. Link to comment
