vallery 0 Posted January 2, 2007 I like the soft colors of this. Usually we see the stronger red/warm temperatures that captivate us from this area. I usually don't like pastel colors but it works here. good landscape work.. Vallery Link to comment
lesa jones 0 Posted January 2, 2007 Thanks Vallery! It was very, very early on the morning this was shot. A snow storm had come through during the night, and I knew that I wouldn't have a whole lot of time to capture the snow, and saturation of the red rock, before the snow melted. I was more intrigued by the lingering cloud cover, rather than paying attention to the colors that were evident. Thanks for stopping by, and happy new year to you also....regards....LJ Link to comment
papasan 0 Posted January 2, 2007 this is a spectacular landscape photo. Lovely colors and muted light. I love the ondulating lines of tree in the foreground paralleling the fog line. Excellent composition, the central position of the mountain in the picture (rather than a more classic 1/3 position) reinforces the feeling of strength and stability, and it works well with this subject. Well done Link to comment
lesa jones 0 Posted January 3, 2007 Thanks Michel, Lennart, and Dave! This is one of my personal favorites from my trip. If anyone gets a chance to go to Northern Arizona you should go. The scenery and landscape changes with every curve of the road. Thanks for stopping by and all the comments. Regards....LJ Link to comment
ameripol 0 Posted January 3, 2007 Hey Lesa, It looks like the soft pink mists hold the rock up in a jewelbox. I loved it. It's just a super moment. It's so nice to see the red rock country in a new way. I liked all your new additions from the red rock country. Nice to see your name again. Thanks for your comments on Robert Cray too. No, it was in Little Rock, not Birmingham but I'm sure the same tour and probably only separated by a couple nights. All the best for the new year. art Link to comment
frost 0 Posted January 3, 2007 Hi Lesa, This is easily my favorite photograph. It is almost unworldly in it texture and colors. It is amazing what nature gives us to enjoy if we will only look. Fantastic!!!! Keep them coming. Bill Link to comment
