Dieter Schaefer 20,221 Posted January 1, 2007 Nicely captured, I like the blur off the wings and also the early morning/late afternoon mood of the picture. You probably will get blasted with "too dark" comments though. Link to comment
dangoldman 0 Posted January 1, 2007 If this photo is too dark i may stop uploading bird pictures.... My monitor isnt even turned all the way up right now (brightness and contrast are turned down since my eyes were starting to hurt) and it seems ok.... Link to comment
Dieter Schaefer 20,221 Posted January 1, 2007 Dan, brightness is very subjective and clearly depends on the monitor and its setting. I get that critique all the time although I thought everything looked ok. Unless you AND everybody else has their monitor properly calibrated, I wouldn't take too much stock in the too dark comments. Laptop LCDs are usually very bright nowadays and optimized for document and web page viewing. Many people tend to set their monitors to match the printouts they get, and that's where the too dark comes in. Having said that, on MY monitor (not currently calibrated but I had checked and the deviation was negligible) it does look a bit dark and that was all I intended to convey. Best regards, Dieter. samcisa 0 Posted January 24, 2007 As Dieter said, it's subjective and it looks darker than average on my monitor too, but I don't care about that so much as for a noise. I fixed bunch of noisy photos with Neat Image. Try to download a trial version. It's fully funcionable with up to 1024 pixels size. Yes, always liked motion blur in wings and sharp the rest. It gives special dynamic. Link to comment
