A technical shot indeed. The clouds on the lower 1/3, the tower on the golden mean. but my question is why didn't you take a vertical shot of this tower? that could reveal more texture and could be counted as an architecture shot.

For my the sky was mutch more important than the tower. For this reason this tower is not the principal subjet in this picture.

thank you for your caring to answer. Believe me, the primary point of interest that is domainating the shot is the tower for three technical reasons. 1) It's the one nearer to the frame center. Dominance rule says that's the dominant position. 2) It's a more unusual shape compared to the cloud. That makes it more eye-catching and therefore more dominant. 3) it's vertical. Vertical objects are more dominant than horizontal objects. Now if you meant to capture the grandure of the clouds as they were, you could have used a wider shot with a smaller tower to decrease its dominance and shift the primary point of interest to the clouds.

Im going to dis-agree with Arash.

 

for 3 technical reasons:

1/ the image starts at the top right hand corner with light cumulus cloud wich points to the N-S marker at top of tower.

2/ from the N-S marker at top of tower we then follow the tower down to the bottom of the image.

3/ from the bottom of the tower, the image spreads back out to the best Heavy Cumulus cloud Ive ever seen.

 

in short, ITS a Spot on Image no doubt.
