Hey Bill- Interesting image! I still can't tell what process you used to create it- some kind of Photoshop rendering? Reminds me of a drawing. I agree that it looks better large- photos with this level of detail need to be large, IMHO. I feel it is too bad that the seated man's clothing is so dark, because he takes so much visual weight (if that makes sense). In fact I wonder if the image has too much contrast, or maybe is a little underexposed? But these are just tweaks- the image is very eye-catching. -Keith

Thanks Keith. The drawing-like effect was achieved via a HDR (high dynamic range) tone-mapping application. Some photographers frown on this look. But I like it on certain images.

 

Good point about the black jacket. I will work on that. But I suspect there is just insufficient data in the digital file to do much about it. The building was not well lit, and the outdoors area in the background was quite bright. THanks for commenting!
