ewert02 0 Posted December 30, 2006 Very nice. I love the smoothly blurred background and the vivid colors. Composition is excellent. The blurred wings work nice here, and the eyes are pretty sharp. Maybe just a tad more sharpness in the head and body would be nice, but this is still great. Link to comment
armpro 0 Posted December 30, 2006 I disagree with some of the comments above. If the center of interest here is the butterfly, then why does it have to compete with such a vivid PS background? A softer color would allow the butterfly to "pop." Also the flower stem bisects a wing and thorax. And one antenna and appendage have disappeared. Then you clip the top wings. Better to catch the butterfly in front of the flower, whole and sharp. Use depth of field to blur the natural background. But the angle of butterfly and flower in a 45 degree slant is pleasing composition. Link to comment
