Amazing light and excellent composition !

I have observed that in all the photos where this animal is in shadow, it seem (or is?) less sharp. This holds for my photos also! Can you comment something on this effect ? I read it is an optical effect as we see worse the cold colors. Do you agree?

Dieter, Manel and Leroy for your comments and compliments.

Manel, I don't quite understand your question. If you meant the shapness of a subject under cool color tone (e.g. in the shape) appears to be worse then I believe it's true but I don't have an answer for that. The results could also be very different when you view it on the screen and see the actual print. I believe the equipment (type and brand of camera body and lens used) is also a major factor here. Believe it or not, whenever I attached a converter to a telephoto lens I found that my Nikon 500mm/f4P MF lens always produced much sharper images than those fancy AF lenses (e.g. 70-200VR, 80-400VR).

Yes, this is what I was meaning. It is an optical effect.

Of course the 500 F4 is not that bad. :)
