stevenseelig 5 Posted January 22, 2007 i am curious as to what the photographer wanted us to think about in looking at this picture. another picture of a dried up flower or ? I think the little fingerlet structures around the sides to be interesting.. wonder if a structure with more of them existed... Link to comment
awhitt99 0 Posted January 22, 2007 I was in a field with many of these decaying wildflowers. I thought this one in particular to look like an emaciated alien being. I too thought the arms extending from it were what made it interesting, like tiny claws. Most will not understand the beauty that comes from decay. For those that do not like my work, sorry, but there's too many who are photographers of the precious and beautiful thing in life, such as children. I only ask that you do not my rate my work based on what you LIKE, but on the thought or feeling that my art provokes. Link to comment
alpenglow 0 Posted January 22, 2007 I love the color palette of browns and drab greens, and the detail is amazing. The limited depth of field, (appears to be maybe one inch), is also astounding for me, since my typical compositions are almost always shot at infinity. Beautiful work and great eye Allison. Mike K.
